Ovealth brings together translational drug development, reproductive medicine, and commercial operations. This is the intersection where the field has needed a company to be built.
The science isn't the problem. The delivery is. For twenty years, the evidence has outpaced the infrastructure, Ovealth is the first company built to match.
Ovealth was founded by Sehresh Saleem, PhD, a geneticist and a Biotech Program Leader with over a decade leading therapeutic programs at Sangamo Therapeutics, CytomX Therapeutics, NeoGenomics Laboratories, and UT Southwestern Medical Center. After watching the field of ovarian tissue preservation remain trapped inside academic medical centers despite decades of evidence, she left drug development to build the modern infrastructure that ovarian biology deserves.
Her work spans bringing numerous drugs from bench to clinic in oncology and rare disease, and over a decade of clinical trial execution. She has built and led clinical operations across multiple biotech companies, working with physicians, scientists, patients, and regulatory bodies to advance therapies through the highest standards of safety and efficacy. That operating background now applies to a category that has been scientifically solved for years but organizationally underbuilt.
Sherman J. Silber, MD is a pioneer in reproductive microsurgery and in vitro fertilization who developed and refined many of the fertility treatments in use around the world today. He performed the world's first ovary transplant, developed the microsurgical vasectomy reversal, pioneered the TESE and ICSI techniques for retrieving testicular sperm, and led the clinical MIT team that first mapped the Y chromosome in infertile men.
Since 2013 he has served as Medical Director of the Infertility Center of St. Louis at St. Luke's Hospital, where he treats patients from every state and around the world. He operates the only center in the world that reliably transplants ovary tissue from fertile women to otherwise menopausal women, restoring hormonal function and fertility. He is the author of six medical textbooks and over 250 scientific publications, and has been recognized as a Giant in Reproductive Medicine. As Ovealth's Chief Medical Officer, he brings the surgical program, the transplant expertise, and the patient outcome record that define what is clinically achievable in ovarian tissue preservation today.
